Orion Space Partnership with BRS-Labs

ORION SPACE Partnership with BRS-Labs

Orion Space is a leading provider of specialized small satellites, especially educational satellites, offering the most affordable solutions worldwide (starting from $80 per satellite!). This makes the study of space science and satellite technology accessible to students from schools and universities. Orion Space was founded in 2017 with the mission of providing hands-on experience in space technology for young engineers and students. The company has been delivering training and workshops on the design and construction of pico-satellites and ground stations throughout Nepal and internationally. Notably, Orion Space developed Nepal's first-ever pico-satellite, SanoSat-1, which was successfully launched into orbit in February 2021 via a SpaceX mission

Partnership and Cooperation

BRS-Labs and ORION SPACE have joined forces to elevate the learning experience for Space Technology aspirants of the K12 Space and Satellites Academy through the following actions:

  1. Integrating the EDUCAN-Mini program as a practical activity into the K12 Space and Satellites Academy’s educational curriculum. This initiative will augment the online “Certified Junior Astronaut” program” with a practical training and simulation where students can indulge in a real experience of the different phases of a small-scale space mission.
  2. Promoting the services and products of both parties in order to boost the added value of their educational curriculums.

We are eagerly looking forward to seeing the prospects of this exceptional cooperation between K12 Space Academy and Orion Space.
